About Me

Welcome to my foodie home on the web!  I’m a relatively recent transplant from the Philly suburbs, across the state to Pittsburgh.  I love my new city, and I love exploring all the food and fun that it has to offer.  I hope that this blog will be a place for me to record some of the successful (and unsuccessful–who knows?) attempts at new recipes, a place to recount adventures in shopping for food or eating at new restaurants around town, and a place to post pictures sharing some of those experiences with the world.

When I’m not in FoodieSuzy mode, I’m a high school English teacher with a passion for literature, grammar, and the fine art of the comma.  I love reading, and Saturday mornings will often find me curled up with the pup and a good cup of coffee.  Weekends find me exploring the dog-friendly areas of town with my Raven, going to shows or concerts with my husband, or working on my latest crafty undertaking.  And, of course, checking out new restaurants for the best food and beer in town!

I welcome comments, suggestions, and dialogue–I’m always happy to hear from my fellow foodies doing their own things in their own places.  In the meantime, I wish you good times and good eating!

    • Thanks! I love reading about what other people are doing around Pittsburgh, too. I enjoyed your last post on the best pierogies in the area–I’m going to have to check some of them out now! 🙂
